What is a Niche Market

What is a Niche Market?

A niche market is a small portion of the market that targets a specific group of audience with specific needs in the market.  The market can be based on price range, product quality, demographic, age, sex.  This market is a small segment looking for a product that matches exactly their need.  Because this market is small, it is easier to convert leads into customer because they are exactly who you target is and the product you offer is exactly what they need.

Advantages of Niche Marketing

A niche market is easier to target than a bigger competitive market.  Big players usually overlook small portion of the market because they want to target a bigger crowd for more profit and thus creates a niche market for smaller players to target.  Although the target market is small; however, visitors that visit niche websites are specifically looking for that product.
